We are delighted to offer fun and family-focused events and special occasions to generations of residents including an Easter Egg Hunt, Adult Easter Egg Hunt (new!), Fall Festival, Terror on the Trails, Nerf Wars, and more. Partnering with town organizations, committees, and local businesses is meaningful to our staff. We are honored to help bring the town together.

You have a lot to look forward to this season. Rockland Markets Winter Markets is our next event. The first in a series of three markets is scheduled on Sunday, November 27th to celebrate small businesses and local arts and crafts. Tap Rockland Winter Market 11/27 for more information. The remaining Winter Markets will happen on December 4th and 17th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Locations and details will be announced soon.

Get excited! A Candy Cane Hunt takes place on December 10th at Hartsuff Park. We heard a rumor the Grinch has returned to the park to turn candy canes green. This must stop! Children will lead the way to hunt for candy canes. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.

High fives to sports, fitness, health & wellness! All are a big part of our year-round comprehensive programming for residents and non-residents age three and older.

Tots' activities teach the fundamentals and beginner skills of popular sports such as basketball, soccer, and floor hockey.

As children grow, boys and girls are introduced to a wider variety of sports thanks to partnerships with Premier Hoops, Total Sports Plus, and F.A.S.T Athletics.

Exciting teen sports provide opportunities to socialize with friends, build confidence, and strengthen their developing skills. Soccer, lacrosse, flag football, volleyball, and basketball attract long-time players, or anyone interested in trying a new sport without an intense competitive atmosphere.

Adult fitness and sports programs give the 18+ crowd a chance to let loose, spread their competitive spirit, gather with colleagues, and be heart healthy. Pickleball, yoga, cardio/strengthening workouts, and Union Point softball leagues are this season's fitness activities.

The multi-talented Recreation staff has a deep appreciation for arts, humanities, and sciences. Youth and adult enrichment classes are making a mark on our Programming. Children can take dance lessons, be a chef in our Kids Test Kitchen course, experiment with different forms of art, and perform in Drama Kids. A three-day art program - Artful Creations - has been to our Winter Break Fun program from December 27-29th. STEM and science classes are very popular. Boys and girls are challenged to build, learn investigative techniques, are introduced to physics, partake in science experiments, and create architectural models using Legos. South Shore Pottery will hold an all-ages holiday themed ceramics class at Winter Markets' November event. To add, they are teaming up with us at the Community Center in December to have a pottery painting class. Adults will paint an adorable light up snowman. Over the winter, adults can enjoy an evening out at a local establishment for a Paint Night. Watch for an announcement at
