The Town of Rockland is excited to announce Rockland Public Arts, a public art initiative bringing art and culture to Rockland's Downtown and beyond. The community initiative aims to promote art and culture while enhancing the vibrancy of Rockland's public spaces. 

ART UNBOXED

Local artists and designers were invited to participate in Art UnBoxed, a public art initiative sponsored by the Town of Rockland. Participants proposed original artwork to be painted on utility boxes throughout the town. The Town selected 10 pieces of artwork then matched an artist with a utility box to have their work displayed for all to enjoy. Art UnBoxed is an amazing public art project that is seen around town.

PIECES OF ROCKLAND

As part of Rockland’s 150th Anniversary Celebration, the Town invited Rockland artists and designers to participate in “Pieces of Rockland,” a collaborative mural project about the Town of Rockland. Each artist was tasked with the job of creating original artwork on an individual puzzle piece. Each piece was put together to create a moving mural that was showcased at Rockland Fall Festival 2024.
